Our sessions are playful, child-centered, and designed to help each child grow in ways that feel encouraging and successful.
2
Feeding and Swallowing Therapy
Feeding needs change throughout childhood, and our therapists support infants, toddlers, and school-age children with a wide range of feeding concerns. We always prioritize safety, comfort, and trust at mealtimes.

We help with:
-
Infant feeding support, including bottle feeding and coordination
-
First foods and guided introduction to early solids
-
Transitions between breast and bottle
-
Moving from purees to solids
-
Picky or selective eating
-
Gagging or difficulty managing textures
-
Oral-motor delays that impact chewing or swallowing
-
Therapeutic weaning from thickener
-
Stress or avoidance during mealtimes
Our approach is gentle and relationship-focused. We work to build positive experiences with food, strengthen oral skills, and help families feel confident at home.
3
Myofunctional Therapy
We offer pediatric myofunctional therapy for children who need support with oral rest posture, tongue movement, chewing, breathing patterns, and swallowing. These skills can influence speech clarity, feeding success, and overall oral development.

Areas we often address include:
-
Tongue thrust
-
Open mouth posture
-
Low tongue rest posture
-
Habitual mouth breathing
-
Oral-motor coordination
-
Chewing or swallowing patterns
-
Myofunctional factors that affect speech sound production
-
Tongue tie release prep and aftercare
-
Myofunctional therapy before, during, and after expansion
Therapy is individualized and may include oral-motor exercises, breathing work, posture awareness, and functional activities that fit naturally into daily routines.

Caregiver Training and Support
Parent and caregiver training is woven into every session at Early Foundations. We believe that children make their best progress when families feel informed, supported, and confident in using strategies at home.

During each visit, we take time to:
-
Explain what we worked on and why
-
Model techniques and give hands-on guidance
-
Share practical strategies for daily routines
-
Offer simple ways to support progress between sessions
-
Answer questions and help families feel empowered
Our goal is to make therapy collaborative, clear, and easy to carry over into everyday life.
